The Manuscripts

The manuscripts of all fifteen of the letters included in this edition are in the possession of the Burgerbibliothek Bern. Excerpts from several of the letters were published in Ulrike Lötzsch, Joachim Georg Darjes (1714–1791). None of Haller’s letters have survived.
